Trunk or Treat – community outreach

by Jack Thomas

For the past couple of weeks, Jamie and I have been trying to decide what we were going to do on Halloween night.  We really didn’t want to take our daughter out in the neighborhoods to trick or treat, but we also wanted her to have a good time.  We decided to go to a local church who was putting on a huge community outreach.  The outreach was called “Trunk or Treat”.  I’m not sure how many people were there, but I know they were expecting 6,000 or so!  They had huge inflatable slides, tons of candy, carnival rides and many other things too.  They also had Moe’s burritos (had me at hello!) Here are some pictures of our daughter going down the trunk line to get candy and riding in an airplane.

Isn’t she the cutest Funshine Bear you have ever seen?
