LSC’s First Church Plant Coming Soon!

January 11, 2012 · Jack Thomas

Two Sunday’s ago (January 1, 2012), I had the awesome privilege to announce during part one of our vision series “New Year’s REVOLUTION”, that in approximately two years time we will be planting our first church!
We are very excited about this first step of what we believe will be many churches planted out of LifeStone Church in the years to come!  There are a lot of details we don’t have right now, as you could imagine.  However, we anticipate that LSC will be a church that is about to or just turning 4 years old (we are a year and a half old right now) when this church is officially launched.  This gives us a two year window to work with.  I have committed the entire year of 2012 to hear from God and develop our strategy for church planting.  We are praying that by the end of this year, we will have a development system in place that’s design will be to turn into the church planting department of LifeStone Church.  I see us in the future planting churches in major metropolitan cities across the United States and in other countries around the world.  2012 is going to be a big year as we begin to put the pieces together for what will help us develop the system, leadership, and vision to become a consistent reproducing church.

The other great news I was able to share about is that God has already given us our first church planters!  Please welcome Jared and Heather Lanza!  Jared and Heather have been on staff at LifeStone Church since we launched in 2010.  Jared has served as the Leadership
Development Director and Heather has served as the Kids Life Prek Director at LSC.  God has placed a call on their lives to plant this first church and we couldn’t be more excited!  I believe that Jared and Heather will be the first of many church planters that will come out of the LifeStone Church family.  One thing we do know is that this first church plant will be in Pittsburgh, PA.  However, we don’t know of its specific location based on neighborhood.  That is something we believe God will give us the answer to as we seek him this year.  We will be doing all we can from now until January of 2013 to prepare Jared for this new adventure and hope to begin the one year out pre-launch process sometime in early 2013.

Again, we are very excited about this and look forward to what God is going to do through this first church plant out of LSC.  Please be praying for us that we hear from God as we are developing our system this year!  We appreciate all of your prayers and look forward to the future of church planting through LSC!

Below are the two parts of the 2012 vision series at LSC called “New Year’s REVOLUTION” (I mention this several times in both messages):
